Okay so I've been buying many bags of "Better Gro" orchid moss, and saw that when I put some in a tub, and pour water in it and mix it all up, that there are different "types" of Sphagnum strands. I've seen about 3 different types...One is a long fuzzy strand that has elongated "leaves" , then there's one that has "pod" like heads, and the last has fuzzy heads. I know there are some techniques to revive dried sphagnum, like putting some in a plastic bag and putting warm water inside, and leaving it for a LONG time...However, this experiment will determine which types of strands are the ones that are "Revived" .I've collected many strands of each type, and placed them on top of cups filled with regular sphagnum, and placed them in the same spot to see which one grows, if they all grow, or if none of them grow at all. Here are some pics :)

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that I have Live Sphagnum strands scattered around the tubs too(from FTS) so I can compare the growth results( if any) with the dried sphagnum=)
