Do red dragons grow significantly slower compared to normal green flytraps? Or can they still be vigorous if given enough light and food?

Red Dragon grows really well for me, as vigorous as any typical. I've heard they don't do well for other people though. I live in California -- high sunshine, low humidity.

I also live in a place with strong sunshine and low humidity. How do u deal with dormancy(if you leave them outdoors do you put them in the shade during dormancy)? And if you have a B52, are they picky about this type of weather? I’ve read that B52s don’t too well for some people.

All my VFTs are outside in the same spot (full sun) all year round. My akai ryu traps can get almost as big as my B52 traps, but it takes a bigger plant (rhizome) to produce such a trap.

I have never heard of B52 not doing well for anyone, unless they are watering from the tap or potting in bad soil.
