Hey everyone! I have been out of the Carnivorous Plant world for quite a long time. Back in the day I had a large collection of Carnivores that was housed in greenhouses. I started growing Carnivores back in my early teens (I'm 39 now). The hobby grew into a small business. I also did a lot of work with Tissue Culture and I had a dedicated lab in my old house with a Laminar flow hood for the propagation of Orchids and Carnivores. I was also heavily involved with the Mushroom industry where I supplied people with cultures of Shiitake, Oysters etc. I also cleaned and sectored wild specimens for customers. As time went on I decided to get a job which blossomed into a very fulfilling career within the Power Industry. I currently work as a professional Drone Pilot and a GIS Professional for a large Power Utility in the USA.
I never left the world of horticulture and on my off time I have been working on the technology side while building my own homestead over the last six years. I mainly focus on LED grow light system design. I build my own grow lights, from circuit boards, thermal management to housings.
With life slowing down and I now have more time at home. I'm hoping to knock the cob-webs off and get back into the world of Carnivorous Plants.
