So I was wondering...

At what point can you tell if your seed-grown Venus flytrap will have a unique feature such as a mutation or abnormally large growth? Do you need to wait until near maturity to see these traits or will they be rather apparent early on? If anyone has pictures of young plants with mutations, I'd love to see them!

Once a plant is flowering size, you can usually get a good idea of the exact traits of the plant. In some cases, such as plants with unique cilia or odd growth habits, you can tell that they're different as soon as they make their first trap.

To know if a plant will be abnormally large will require as much time as it takes to grow them to maturity :)
