Hi everyone, I have a question about when repotting with peat moss + perlite.
Should I be putting a paper towel at the bottom of the pot before I fill the pot up?
Also, just to clarify, should it be a damp paper towel or a dry paper towel?
I read through Matt's instructions on the flytrap repotting page and there was no mention of this: https://www.flytrapcare.com/potting-venus-flytraps/
But then I watched a video on the FlyTrap Store channel and Matt does include a paper towl at the bottom of the pot before he starts filling up: https://youtu.be/pMFxg5UlpH4
The explanation was that if you don't, when you put it in water, some of the stuff will just get washed away and there will be an empty bit at the bottom of the pot and then it won't be able to take up water.
I realized I don't currently have this problem because my plant is in sphagnum moss right now, so I can see how some kinda barrier would help.
