My sarracenia flava var rugelii has some spots on the lid.
Does anyone know what are these spots.
Thank you.
You are suffering from the dreaded flava syndrome. Flavas are the first ones out in the spring and the first ones to pack it in during the summer. You might want to reduce the water a little as it heads to dormancy, but flavas really don't care. Soon it will be putting out non carnivorous phyllodia, which is perfectly normal. Just say goodnight and wish it sweet dreams.
