I know from reading here in the forums that it's best to pot your VFT in Styrofoam cups or plastic cups.....
But I was wondering if I could put the plastic or Styrofoam cup in a ceramic pot? Would it still leak harmful minerals into the water when the plant get's watered (tray method)? Will it keep the sand (and roots) too cold?

That should be fine, if anything it would actually benefit because of the added insulation to keep the soil at a constant temperature
