Hey dude,

I can't help you out for the live one, but do you have dried one ?

I bought my first brick ever of dried moss and since I've used it several pots have green spots now appearing. Even though it's not a 100% certainty, a lot of time it will revive from dormant spores which are in the dried/dead moss.

All it needs essentially is one spore to be alive and it will start from there, sphagnum produces like millions of spores or something, I'd try it if I were you :)

Otherwise, hopefully someone from India will step in to help you out, live sphagnum is considered as a live plant and normally permits and all the enchilada needs to be obtained before importing...you're really better off to try the reviving moss trick !

I have an aquarium growing D. spatulata. They were planted in 100% dried peat moss. They have been growing for about a year, and quite a lot of green live moss have started growing from the dried stuff. Just check on the package to make sure the moss hasn't been sanitized (aka baked till dead).

Nice to hear from you,
well the moss which we get at nurseries arent sphagnum moss i have tried many n couldnt find the real one, after searching a lot i found one from nursery in shillong which collects it from mountains,i will post pics ehre soon or if you want i can email it to you.
Mos wee get at general nurseries are normal moss n they will not be able to sustain cps, many of them contains green dye too.

Where do you buy cps from?
thanks

well its hard to say it is sphagnum moss because nurseries here sell normal moss which is used for growing money plant and it is also called moss grass, these moss are not sphagnum moss these are different and may not be able to support cps
