Well, I went on a little hike today and decided to bring the camera/tripod etc. Thought I would share a few photos of our beautiful state with you! These were all taken in Chautauqua park (about 10 minutes from where I live).

Yeah, very nice photos, Blake. I especially like the closeups of the small white and blue flowers.

I like the lichen shot too, which reminded me of a photo I took of lichens on a wooden plank in Costa Rica a few years ago--

Thanks. I looked high and low for some of those blue flowers that weren't drooped over from the snow we got last week. At the very end of my hike I finally found some haha.

There are a bunch of different lichens in that photo! Very cool.

I love the composition of the first macro shot of the little white flowers, with all the complementary "negative space" toward the upper left. Very nice shot. It would make a great computer screen desktop "wallpaper."
