what would be the best type of fluorescent light to give my flytrap(typical) and sundews(D Enodes and D Adelae)? I'm looking to upgrade my current lighting situation which is pretty much just once cool white bulb and one warm bulb. not the tube lights but the ones you would put into a desk lamp or something like that. any info on watts, lumens, cool/warm, or anything else that would be relevant would be appreciated. thanks.

Sorry, I don't got much for you if you don't want tube lights. Probably you just want a high wattage and high lumens.

Here is something that has very good stats- 6500k, etc.

Something like this will work:

If you want a good light, however, you should get a T5 light like this one:

I might have to look into tube lights with all the plants i keep getting lol
but for now, can anyone offer any tips on lights that would fit into a desk lamp? it would be really helpful, i dont want my adelae to die =[
