Here is a shot of a Darlingtonia seedling germinated in vitro. I love those beautiful pink roots that are only visible when you grow plants in very clear media.
This one looks to be off to a good start.

How long has it been in vitro?
5 weeks since germination. It has been replated once.
After seeds were sown, the tubes were placed in the fridge for 4 weeks for stratification, then under the lights for germination.

Thanks Cain:
Did you get your package?

The Darlingtonia media is:
1/3 MS, 1X MS vitamins, 30 g/l sucrose with 7g/l High clarity carrageenan for gelling agent. pH 5.8

Hi nthng2gein:

I used two methods to sterilize the Darlingtonia seeds:

Method 1
Green pod method that is routinely used with orchids. I took a green seed pod and placed it in 20% bleach for 10 min, rinsed in sterile water, then dipped the pod in 95% ethanol and set it on fire. When the ETOH finished burning I cut the pod in half with a sterile scalpel and scooped out the seeds and placed them on the media. This method does not expose the seeds to any harsh chemicals and works great if you can get an almost mature seed pod. The inside of the seed pod is sterile until it is opened.

Method 2
Dry seed method. I placed the dry seed in jar with sterile 1/3 MS basal salts solution containing 2% PPM for 12 hrs. I then placed the seeds on the media without rinsing.

After flasking the vials went into the fridge for 4 weeks, then under the lights.

Here is a mother flask from the Green pod method. Looks like 100% germination.

in the media that I tried was almost the same, but mine had some phytoregulators (BAP, IBA 1ml/L) and no vitamins, but it did not work. maybe next time :P .

You should not need PGRs for seed germination. Some use GA3 but I never have.
The green pos method above is the best for sensitive seeds, but you don't aways have a green pod available.
