I plan on growing lots of species of sundews from seed but the website from which I want to purchase them says that all of the tropical sundews need a process called heat stratification. Here are the instructions for this process from the website
It creates a hot and moist environment for the seeds. This will break their dormancy. Place the seeds on top of a prepared soil mix. Put the pots with seeds in plastic ziplock bags under but not too close to florescent lights. A temperature around 25°C / 76°F works best. Make sure to check the seeds often. If fungus or mold appears treat it with a fungicide.I can not do the thing with the florescent lights but I have access to a heated propagating case. Can I use this or is the process necessary at all?
