Oh my!!!! :o I have never seen a vft stalk looking so strong and thick!!!!
My vft has a flower stalk right now which is roughly about 1 inch long and mine is a little bit thinner than yours maybe becuause its nearing dormancy now as its autumn in England/uk right now.
Anyway, I'm gonna let it flower as its the first ever flowering vft for me!

ive let a couple of plants of each variety (sundew, vft, sarra) to set seed but the rest had their stalks removed.

i always give some seed away on the forums, you just have to send a 5'er ($AUD) to cover the cost of a padded envelope + air mail. keep an eye out for my free seed thread in the seed section (you can subscribe now if ya want an auto-reminder) it'll be updated as i get more available.
mitch wrote:hey glenn,
nice spatulatas in your outdoor vft bog some almost look like slackii's!
im not exactly sure which ones they are, theyre some sort of spatulata or alicia type sundew.

---------

add to the above list of plants growing a stalk.

cross teeth vft
fang vft
2 young cap red
2 capensis alba (one is a young plant too haha)
2x binata "marstons dragon"
1x regular binata
and i think my outdoor cap mini red *might* be growing a stalk in its very early stages (hard to truely tell but it looks like one)

and "big red", my sarra courtii has started to crack open the outer skin of its flower, revealing the smallest glimps of what i think is going to be its petal.

since i started CP's last nov/dec, this is the first time ive seen my plants go into and out of dormancy. this is a great time to have em all freshly settled in and bursting to life before your eyes.
