Hello,

Im kinda new to VFT's and was given one for a pressie a few weeks back, and i have a few questions.

1) Reading on this forum i have discovered it is best to re-pot the plants when received, however what soil do i need to re-pot the plant?

2) Watering the plants as well there is a number of references to using distilled water, what is best tap or distilled water?

Thanks to anyone who can help :)

1) Peat moss of acidic (low) pH, 3,5-4,5, silica sand would be also a good adition to the soil mix. And you need a pot;)
2) distilled water

Hi Sam & welcome. Have a good read through the article that Steve has provided a link to. It will answer most of your questions and probably save the life of your new flytrap.
