will the trap die if the trap seals without any prey inside?
how many days does it take to open if the sealed trap has no prey inside?(if the trap is not gonna die)

No, it won't die. And if the trap is sealed just like if it were digesting, it porably caught a very small prey and you just didn't notice it.

About 3-4 opens and it will die, but rather than die. It produces new traps. When I bought my first, it had my fingers in and out of it for the past few weeks. None died.

theres no prey inside.i was fooling around with my experiment.take a thin wood and trigger the trap for 2mins.my friend said that will seal the trap if u wanna feed.so i try and it really does.the teeth moves apart after a few hours to 1day.

Well, vft are quite rare to see in the general home. So its always nice to let guests know what they do
