I am getting a d.rotundifolia next week and they can be grown outdoors all year round i was wondering if i should make a minibog for it so it can spread next growing year. I was plannig on getting on of
Those plastic pond bases (a small one about 15" by 9" would this be syitable?
Also will i have to drill holes in the bottom? For drainage and has anyone got any other suggestions if this is too difficult to maintain? Thanks liam

go to lowes.com, home depot.com etc.

even on their website usually under garden/outdoor, sections you can find them.
sometimes called planters, or window box's, or trough's..

mine has a self water system where the trough has a false floor, water is trapped in the bottom to be re-absorbed by soil, and trains plant roots to grow deep.

this one looks pretty good as it has its own water tray, although its a pretty small tray its better than none.

these pics are quite old but you can see what i mean about the insert / false bottom.

the floor of the insert is shaped weird so some parts reach deeper into the well in the bottom than other spots..

ive used a texta to put markings on it so i can tell if the water level in the bottom is @ 1/4 1/2 3/4 full
