Ok! First, what does contamination look like usually. Does the media have to be perfectly smooth if its clean????

I have some jars that are not perfectly smooth, but since June 18th they have no fuzzy or bulbous growth on them, or any growth at all on the media or explants so far. Does this mean they are not contaminated.
I also made two liters of carnivorous plant tc media. After a few hours of leaving them out, i put them in some dark cabinets. How long will it last before it is usable. It has no agar in it. Also, I made 8 jars of media with agar in it, and I have hem all on a one gall in ziplock bag, but there is no saran wrap over the lids. Will they last for when my sundew seeds come next week, or will I Need to make more?? Also, what is the longest a jar of unused media last? Could i make like twenty jars and keep them until i subculture an explant?

Sometimes contamination isn't even visible. But when it is, fungal contamination looks like the mold that you'd see on bread. Bacterial contamination looks like someone poured milk or some other creamy substance on the top of the media.

From experience, I know that media will last quite a while in the fridge (over a month), but I don't know how long it will last at room temperature.

Alright. Cool. I would hate to have to throw it away! Well. I hope my explants strike soon. Also, should I put the sundew seeds int the media I have in the empty jars right now???? They have no Saran wrap STM but they are in a ziplock bag.

Alright. This is what I mean. I have about 8 jars made already from the 27th. I am trying to keep them contaminant free by putting them all in a ziplock bag.
If i don't see any visible contamination, i should flask them in these jars instead of having top make new ones rite???

Thanks
