Hi to all that read this, I'm new to the carniverous plants sceen and have 2 VFTs that are doing well but was thinking about buying some different CPs. Just wanted to ask do they need the same care as VFTs? I.E soil with poor nutrients, rain/distilled water, plenty of direct sunlight? I found a garden centre with wide range of CPs, and they all look healthy and well maintained.
Your thoughts and comments would be appreciated.

Ah, bitten by the CP bug and expanding your horizons already, huh? Great!

Most carnivorous plants have very similar care requirements. The main difference is going to be dormancy requirements (tropical plants don't have a dormancy), lighting requirements (some species prefer less than full sun), watering requirements (some species prefer being wetter than flytraps) and temperature requirements. If you're more specific about the species of plant you're looking at getting, I'm sure that someone here will be able to give you some information on how to care for it.

When you get your plant (or even before), try to read some care sheets. CPs are often pretty hardy so they can be grown with about the same requirements as your VFT, but there are some major differences in some of them like length of dormancy or water amount/temperature as well as special, more in-depth requirements. There are some care sheets at Flytrapcare's front page, as a start.
