Our local fish shop sells reverse osmosis water , which is RO and then deionised.
Is there any difference in this and straight RO water, or is it the same ?

It is probably even better. You can use it with cps. but get a second opinion, cus i don't know what I'm talking about ;)

Yes that water would be more than safe to use for watering carnivorous plants. I'd wager that a TDS meter would read the PPM's of that stuff at exactly 0.

Deionized water is often created using a pure water source like distilled or reverse osmosis. The point of deionization in this particular case is because deionized water has a neutral pH, which is good for a fish tank, or for laboratory purposes.
