How did you get that ultra-black background in the photo, while still maintaining good light on the subject? GREAT photos! :)

I usually place a black, large piece of paper behind the plant. No artificial light, only natural one, but the scenery is rather shady to keep the flower's colours. After taking the photo I use strong blur on the dark background. That's all:)
