Well this site is a good resource for Venus Flytraps and there are growers here that have lots of knowledge of other species too. What type of seeds did Cesar give you?

Well, for Dionaea seeds, you just need to put them on peat moss, keep it damp (not wet) and put them in a sunny location. You should see germination in 3 weeks or so.
