A few months ago I moved my flytraps indoors for dormancy/rest. I am shocked to see that they are doing better than ever: new, vigorous growth, increased number of traps, even blooming. And it's January! What gives?

They store energy as sugar for dormancy and use it to rapidly regrow in the spring. Sounds like they woke up early.

Do you mean they never went dormant or that they are waking up early? If it’s the first, I can relate. This year is my first for dormancy, and when I initially brought my flytraps and sarrs in, I put them in a grow tent in the basement. It wasn’t cold enough down there, and with the added humidity, they all started growing like crazy. I had to move the tent out to the garage to finally get them to start going dormant.
