The Waterwheel plant (Alravanda vesiculos) is an aquatic only carnivorous plant from Australia. This plant feeds on small aquatic animals using traps very similar to those of the Venus Flytrap. The traps are arranged in whorls around a central, free-floating stem. This plant is one of the few plants capable of rapid plant movement. It has no true roots at all. Requires an aquarium enviornment that is aireated. Eats snails and other small prey. I would not recommend this species to a beginner grower of carnivorous plants.
