We are rapidly approaching our Holiday Extravaganza photo contest. What makes this special is that in addition to the prize from our sponsor, The Flytrap Store , we also ask forum members to donate a prize and shipping. The more contributors, the more prizes. Also, the last prize is rewarded on a random basis so everyone has a chance to win. Check out the links to our previous contests below.

I have had several people that have volunteered by various means, but I would like to consolidate it all into one place. If you would like to donate a prize and shipping for the December Extravaganza, please comment below with what prize you will contribute. Once the contest is done, I will arrange getting the winners in contact with the right people.

FYI, I will be contributing a Drosera binata and maybe a Piguicula 'Pirouette'. Matt is contributing {insert screeching sound of needle being dragged across a record}. Well, you will just have to wait to find out.

Also, be sure to check out the links above and start working on your entry for the photo contest. It is always lots of fun.

1. Drosera Intermedia, flowering size. Enough for about a 4 to 6 inch pot.
2. 5 Ea. Drosera Regia seeds
3. 4 inch pot worth of 1 year old Sarrs seedlings. Between 10 and 12.
4. Possibly some OP Sarrs seeds, not in seedbank.

I'm curious who would be interested if I added an object that features carnivorous plants, like a mousepad, mug, socks, something like that?

This would be SO cool! Every time I find something that has carnivorous plants on it it’s more expensive than like two small plants! I always want it, but then I figure I should just buy a plant or something sensible with my money. It’d be neat to have a chance to get it.

I had a question about something that seems confusing to me (which is basically everything lol). I thought before that the categories that were mentioned (like Red and Green) were pictures for specific parts of the contest. Like there’s a competition for red and green pictures and then the next category Dressed Up Plants is a new competition?

But are those 4 categories actually just ideas for people to use as inspiration? The old contests don’t look like it’s broken up into 4 categories, so I wanted to ask now before I started trying to figure out what I’m doing. Thank ya.

Yes, those categories are just ideas. Anything wintery/festive is acceptable. And honestly, it will be up to those that vote as to whether or not your post is in the holiday spirit.

I would have them contact you directly and send you their address.
