Very creative ad Unfortunately Dionaea muscipula is all one species. You are welcome to submit another entry though!
Sorry I’m having trouble finding stuff to enter here cuz a decent amount seems kinda geared towards people who have been around longer, but I enjoy the concept of the game
I am not a prolific plant grower, so I’m hoping this next one is something more suitable. I just got it from my neighbor last month.

Meet my newest addition - an avocado tree! It was started by my neighbor from a pit, and obviously it’s quite lovely.
The first thing that makes it ideal as a plant is the fact that it’s cheap to start! If you ever buy an avocado, you can simply put 3 toothpicks into the pit, stick it in a cup with water, and make certain that the toothpicks keep it from full submersion.
It would be a great family project for anyone who has some kiddos to teach them about basic plant care!
It also looks quite fetching in my humble opinion, so even if you’re not interested in avocados, you can still have the joy of just growing these beautiful plants!
Actually from what I have read so far, using the pit growing method is more ideal for the family project/beauty end of things because it usually takes quite a long time using this method to bear fruit. It can take 15-20 years in fact! And the avocados wouldn’t necessarily be as tasty as the one you got the pit from!
Enter buying a tree from a nursery! They’re made to have much better results if you’re in it for the avocados instead of the experience. You can get a variety of different kinds, and from what I’ve read you can somewhat tailor them to your hardiness zones as there are a lot of different types.
If they seem a bit pricey for you (I’ve found anywhere from $60 - to around $200), then swerve back over to the growing from pits lane with me. You can sell some grown from pits on Etsy for about $15 - $20. It won’t take very long to get yourself the upgrade!
Keep your head up! Comin at ya from zone 6a
