This giveaway will involve a series of challenges. New Challenges will be posted daily, unless I forget or have other stuff to do. Each completed challenge will earn one or more tickets. Tickets can be exchanged for prizes! I'll start listing prizes later in the giveaway. There is no limit to the number of winners.

Challenge #1. Post a picture of your Halloween decorations. Must be from the current year.
Prize: 1 ticket
Deadline: November 01, 17:00:00 UTC.

Challenge #2. Zombies!! Find a user who has been inactive for at least 12 months. Convince the user to come back and create a new post.
Prize: 1 ticket 4 tickets for each user that you bring back. Bonus: Zombie gets 1 ticket too!

Challenge #3. Click on unanswered topics. Choose three unanswered topics (any topics, except for seed bank and for sale) and reply to those topics. Post the links back here.

Challenge #4. Take a photo of a plant species that you grow, but that I (@elaineo) do not grow. (It doesn’t have to be a carnivorous plant, but it will be a blind guess otherwise). Post the photo along with a caption explaining why @elaineo needs to grow this plant. Really sell me on it

Challenge #5. Take a photo of something you have grown from seed obtained from the seed bank. Use the Search tool to determine which member donated the seed. If multiple people donated the same seed, list as many as you can Create a new topic with the photo and a note thanking the donor(s) of the original seed. Post a link to the thread here.
Prize: 1 ticket per original post. Eg. If someone thanks Carmeline for S. Purpurea seeds, a second Carmeline post will not be eligible for a prize (although you are welcome to add to the original topic)

Challenge #6. Take a photo of a plant that you purchased from FlytrapStore. Tell us what you love about it, or leave a review on the store site and post a link here.
Prize: 1 ticket

Challenge #7. Take a photo of a plant whose name contains an animal. For example: Duckweed. The photo should include a piece of paper with today's date so we know it wasn't downloaded from the internet
Prize: 1 ticket. +1 bonus ticket if the photo contains the matching animal. (max 1 entry)

Challenge #8. Emotional Support Plant. Many people are feeling anxious today, so let's help reduce stress. Take a photo of a plant that provides therapeutic benefits; whether from inhaling it, ingesting it, or just being around it. Explain what service it provides, and feel free to be creative The photo should include a piece of paper with today's date so we know it wasn't downloaded from the internet

Challenge #9. 68 Comeback Special Show us a carnivorous plant that has bounced back from the brink of death. Maybe it was frozen, knocked down, partially eaten, and came back stronger. Post «Before/After» photos, or just the «After» photo and tell us about it. (photos do not have to be current, but it must be your carnivorous plant)

Challenge #10. Invite a new member to join the forum. Someone who grows carnivorous plants, or is at least interested in growing carnivorous plants (no you can't invite your dog). Have the new member create a post in the Introductions forum.

Challenge #11. Symbiosis. Does your carnivorous plant have a friend? Show us something that grows with your CPs, either in the same pot or nearby. It doesn't have to be a plant, but there must be a mutually beneficial relationship. (For example, sphagnum moss. But don't use spagmoss because that's boring .) Explain the benefit if it's not obvious.

Challenge #12. Take a photo of a plant that's wearing fall colors. If the plant wears fall colors all year round, that's fine, but it must be a current photo. I don't want to see any green

Challenge #13. Show us your coolest, most interesting plant-related purchase that cost less than $10. Must be repeatable; gifts and trades don't count. Must be from the last 12 months, and must be something that has not already been posted.

Challenge #14. Take a screenshot of your FlytrapStore Wish List. If you don't have one, make one now! Tell us about your top item why you would love to have it. If someone else has already selected that item, choose the next one.

Challenge #16. Show me a plant-related project that you made from free, cheap, or upcycled materials. (Poking holes in a plastic cup does not count as a project.)

Challenge #17. That high-maintenance GF. Do you have a carnivorous plant that requires constant attention? Maybe a highlander that needs a pressurized grow chamber, or a utric that wilts without daily CO2 injections. Tell us about the great lengths you go to to keep this plant happy, and show us it was all worth it in the end. OR, if your high-maintenance plant is grumpy despite your great efforts, show us that too.

Challenge #20. Meleagris Gallopovo Day is coming! Dress up a carnivorous plant to turn it into a Thanksgiving centerpiece. Bonus ticket if you get a live turkey to pose with it.

Perhaps you should grow this unusual looking cactus. This is Pereskiospsis spatulata. It is easily propagated from cuttings and grows quickly. It's adaptable to different conditions like indoors on a sunny windowsill or outdoors. It can tolerate quite a bit of neglect and doesn't need a lot of water. You can also use it as a grafting stock for other cacti to get them to grow twice as fast. You can use it to add some lush green foliage to your growing space or garden without giving it much attention. Overall it's a fun plant to grow.
