Hey all it’s been awhile since I’ve posted on the forum, life happened. I became a single parent and had lost my house because of it. Won’t go into details but I’m happy I’m back finally growing my favorite plant! I ordered some seeds from the store here (all red ones) planted them eagerly waiting for them to sprout. But I also rescued some Venus flytraps from Lowe’s. They went in the best of shape so I’m going to get them stronger. I might have to skip a hibernation because of how poor a shape they were in. I’m also trying my hand at growing Sphagnum moss!

Welcome back. LFSM is surprisingly easy to grow, as long as you have good starter moss you should have no issues. There are some posts on this forum about it and Youtube has tons of help videos. I tried my hand at red moss. It was doing great after a few months but then I neglected it and it died. I wish it would grow like my LFSM grows!

Thank you, since I live in New Mexico, the humidity is quite low and so I’m probably going to have to seal off the edges with saran wrap and leave a opening to help rise the humidity.

It’s more of a curiosity more then anything, ya I usually grow my traps in a peat/sand/and perlite mix
