I'm starting to get some germination from these sown in mid-April. I will try to get pictures when they are a little bigger, if I can keep them alive.

That’s awesome! I just checked mine (sown 4/24), and nothing yet.

You should probably start seeing something in about a week or so, if mine are any indication. I checked this morning and it looks like there are three so far, one where the cotyledons are unfurling.

I have germination! But this is as far as I've ever gotten with Nep seeds, so I'm excited. I sowed some inside and some outside, and it looks like they both germinated about the same time. The outside looks like it might have sprouted a day or so earlier.
The top pic shows the inside sprouts. The bottom shows the outside.
Now, there is a possibility that the outside ones are stray seeds from somewhere else, as evidenced by the sundew that somehow found a home. Time will tell.

Hey, these are still germinating, so don't give up on 'em!

I was misting the somewhat dryish substrate daily because I think the first ones succumbed to rot. Last weekend I had to be away for three days so I gave them a little water in the tray, fully expecting them to be dead when I got back. But when I got back there were two healthy-looking sprouts in the right pot, and now a week later there's another one in that pot and two new ones in the left pot.

(I just noticed my red circles are kinda thin.)

What is everyone using as a mix? I’ve been trying to find coco coir and orchid bark, but the store doesn’t have it and the stuff on Amazon seems shady. I’ve got some planted in a few different types of media.

Peat and perlite.

I used LFSM and perlite. Two seeds germinated awhile back, and then the squirrels dug up the pot and I lost those, and I haven’t seen any since.

For mine I think I used peat, coir, and perlite, with a thin layer of peat/coir on top. I bought and washed (and washed and washed) some coco coir a few years ago, so had some on hand.

U shuld js use the shagnum.

I sowed mine on 5/15/24 and I’m seeing (finally) some good progress!

Just one pitcher visible rn and the rest is obscured by star moss (dont you just love that stuff?)

I find it amazing that nepenthes start putting out pitchers so soon. I have a ventrata with small basal growth leaves and one is already growing a tiny pitcher.
