I always get a little sad thinking that everything on Earth (aside from the ocean depths although I’m sure that will happen too at some point) has been discovered. This is really awesome.

Some of the language in that made it sound like they maybe found more than one, but since they only listed a new one I guess that was other pings already discovered growing at the site.

They did this from 2005-2023? Imagine getting to do something you love for that many years in the field. It must be a lot of work, but then the new one discovered must have been so exciting. Thank you for sharing. I can’t wait to see what it looks like.
