Would you folks start feeding a newly arrived Nepenthes right away or give it some time to settle in? Also would you feed it dried blood worms or Maxsea? Thanks.

I'd give it like a or two month to settle in. Every time I've put something in a pitcher not long after getting the plant it doesn't like it and starts to shrivel up the pitcher. Having that happen to the maxima I have currently (thought it's starting to grow out new leaves so it's not the end of the world).

That's just my experience.

My unscientific guess is that it's too much energy for the plant to recover from repotting and/or shipping and absorb nutrients that it feels like it'd be better to just toss a pitcher. But again, that's a really unscientific guess.

Don't feed it via pitchers until it produces liquid in the pitchers. Anything in there without the enzymes will just rot and potentially harm the plant. I probably wouldn't even do a foliar feed until I see a couple of new leaves emerge. Just give it optimal conditions until it tells you it's ready to eat.
Then, after it's ready, feed it bugs or bloodworms. I've found that my Neps respond better to food rather than fertilizers.

Thanks, I’ll just let ‘er ride. I had a feeling that it may prefer to acclimate first.

Thanks for the tip. I will let it recoup from being shipped.
