I recently rescued this Pinguicula from my brother. What do I need to do? Can’t figure it out what the issue is.

I don't see a problem. I think agnata leaves are always kinda droopy. You've checked for pests? Is the medium very wet and organic or does it have plenty of drainage? If those things check out, I would just make sure it's getting enough light and treat it like a normal ping with nothing wrong.

Ohhhh, yeah my bad. I’ve been watering it as you would a nep thinking it requires the same water. The lessons you learn :)

They'll take lots of water as long as they have good drainage. They can also take zero water. My one ping is in a sand/perlite mix (which I hate and will be changing soon) and I literally haven't watered my ping in, like, months. I will go water them now as I'm realizing that lol

It honestly looks pretty happy!

Just a heads up- You might notice it forming a compact rosette of smaller leaves in the center. The big floppy leaves will die off. This happens in the winter in the wild, but indoors there’s no predicting. Watch for the smaller leaves because you’ll want to keep it a little drier to prevent rot in this state. Increase watering again when it starts making big leaves.

Really? He got it about a month ago and only recently it started flopping its leaf’s. How long will the dormant(ish) state last and would it be a good time to repot it?

I have 2 P. agnata and they both do this at least a little. It's perfectly fine. The plant will tell you when it wants a nap by producing smaller, thicker, less sticky leaves. Then just don't water it much until the sticky leaves come back.

Ok, so then does this look fine? I may have accidentally butchered a leaf.

Yeah, they look pretty good! Are you gonna put the white part of the leaf in dirt and leave the green above? That's what I try to do

Thanks! I would do the white part. I’m finding that pings seem to be a lot like cacti. They are succulents after all. Sticking them strait in dirt seems to give me 75% success with my Christmas cactus. However when I go onto icps they say to just put them in the bag and spray them every once in a while. It’s sounds really foreign to me so I think I might try that method just to experiment. Still am going to stick some straight into dirt though.

OK, sure. Some people lay two layers of wet paper towel in a Tupperware container, lay the pullings in there, and put the cover on too
