Nice collection!

But dang, no VFTs (Venus Fly Traps)? PM me and I can lend you one if you want. :)

Thanks! I just started a few months ago and I’m really getting into it! It’s a great hobby, along with my caridinia shrimp.

🤣 I do have two VFTs from Wally World - no named cultivar or anything, catching and feeding them flys is probably what got me into carnivorous in the first place haha. I need to get more!!

Not sure how to edit the initial post to update it with the VFT included, I also picked up two pinguicula this weekend from a local - Yucca do 1317s and some GEORGE Sargent, although half of them are going to my younger sister 😄

Hi jeff, I purchased those from Lee's botanical on facebook. I think the temperate pings are like 2-3$ each there if that is what you are asking. I was hoping to pollinate and get a bunch, but unfortunately a cold frost wiped out all my pings, and I am left with just one of each. I plan on getting a few more of each in order to pollinate.

Hey Camden,

I believe I figured out what went wrong on the first one (too aggressive watering, and poor drainage), I had switched over to net pots but left the hamata in the same pot it came in (as had heard they can stop growing for a very long time if agitated), but was watering it like my nepenthes in net pots. Expensive mistake but I learned from it and the new one is acclimating and making small pitchers. They also do not like bright light at all, I think the sides of my grow tent may be too bright so I have given it additional shade through sharpie marker and a ziplock bag. I had it sitting with my Jamban and the leaves started to burn, but new leaves are looking much healthier. I will add this will be my last hamata, I knew the pitchers were “papery”, but did not realize they are actually thinner than paper and extremely fragile, and frankly I’m just too clumsy 😅 I can already tell I will be smashing some pitchers on accident
