Have you got a photo of that please?

I looked at Google images for Binata seedlings but didn't get the results I was looking for.

Cheers.

Cheers.

Just to clarify, my Binata (supposedly) seedlings are about 5mm tall and only just visible with the naked eye - I have to squint with glasses to see them in detail.

Hi Bluefire.

I have noticed that the one of the seedlings has grown to about 1cm tall and produced quite a big leaf which looks like a Capensis.

Do I still need to wait until I can confirm that the seedlings are Binata?

Cheers.

We can 99.9999746% confirm that it's not binata.
These are binata, longest leaf at right around one inch, definite forking.

I don't understand what has happened because there is no way seeds labelled as Binata can change into Capensis without any genetic alteration.

Could be.

I planted Drosera Capensis 'Typical' in the other 3 pots (I have 6 pots in total) but they haven't germinated - all that grew was moss.

Then the seller either accidentally or intentionally mislabeled them.

That's highly unusual. Even old Cape seeds are known to germinate.
What may be a more likely explanation is that you accidentally mixed up the pots and you have Capes growing, while the binata aren't doing anything. If they are actually binata seeds to begin with.

Tell you what, you seem bummed about the binata not growing, so make a request to the seed bank for binata and we'll get you some legit, fresh (harvested this year and constantly kept in cold, dry storage) binata seeds.
The pic I shared was from the "Small Red Form", AKA "Grogu", but I think we also have "T-Form". Both are self fertile, so you might even get seeds yourself from them.
We also have "Upright Form" binata, which are believed to be the same thing as "T-Form", but a seller labeled them creatively somewhere in the past.

Thanks for the offer.

I have emailed the nursery I purchased the seeds from and received no response.

Can you send me the link for the seed bank as I haven't used them before?

Cheers.
