It has been a dreary, cold, wet spring in the upper-left corner of the US, but finally there are a few signs that spring has arrived ...

Send that mild weather my way! The next two weeks are going to be mostly 95°F and up for a high. Couple that with what will be several million percent humidity, and my chest hair is going to frizz instantly.

Looking good! In sharp contrast down here in the deep south we are sweltering, as others have said! I can't even imagine what July and August are gonna feel like. Glad your plants are kicking! They are sporting beautiful colors!

I know, that’s Oregon for you I guess. There’s snow at my house and it’s already June

The weather here has also been rainy, but here we’re happy when we see rain. It seems this year the weather is lagging behind by a couple months. We’re supposed to get rain in April and May (which we didn’t get as much as usual), and June is supposed to be when we get thunderstorms and downpours not small drizzles. Although, we do still get a lot of sunlight compared to Western Washington. I hope my pitchers grow as good as yours, since their pitchers got broken again.

@ChefDean and @camsdad66 - I know, I shouldn't complain, with as hot as it seems to be almost everywhere else. But I don't mind the warm weather - especially because our summers are so short, although they never come with the humidity that you all get. We should swap our weather for a little bit. Today the high was 60! It's still sweater weather!!

@Carnies and @thepitchergrower - I always think of the bay area as pretty mild. And, yes, why does the rain always seem to line up with the weekends? It's uncanny.

@MaxVft and @TrapsandDews - yup, unseasonably cool. The rain barrels are full tho', so if it ever does stop raining, I should be good on rainwater storage for the CPs.

Hope to get a few more sunny spells to get a bit more pitcher growth and some shots of some individual plants to share.

Very nice! Yesterday we had a high of 51 F up here in Eastern Washington.

Sarracenia would appreciate warmer, sunnier weather, but I'd take this any day over the drought we had last year.

I have a few pots that still think it is April (just pushing their first pitchers), but many are starting to ramp up so I took a couple shots when the sun was out a few days ago.

Thank you! They are getting there! I need to fish a few more of the happy pots out and take more pics in the sunshine - that's my goal for July - a bit more photo-documentation.

A month later and things have warmed up (substantially) - still have a few plants that are lagging, but others are making up for lost time.
