I went the other direction and built an automated watering table which just waters the plants at 1pm ET each day. They stay hydrated and relatively cool. Seems to be working well!
Do you have any pics of this table?

Heat = storms = hail… ugh.
It never really occurred to me that hail would trigger traps but it makes perfect sense and might even protect them a bit!

At least you and your plants aren’t constantly in thick fur coats.

He/she needs to do like I just did...go get a haircut. My best friend who I see pretty regular used to be a barber/stylist. He had a shop down in Mobile for several years. Anyhow, he's been out of the business for years but he still cuts my hair. Of course I don't get around to pinning him down for a cut but maybe a couple of times a year...I just call it my seasonal shearing. :lol: Your buddy there could probably stand getting his/her ears lowered, too! :D

I have two of ‘em. Mother and daughter, food thieves extraordinaire. They have been loving the coolness of the floor ever since they had fur. Which is forever.

I feel your pain. The past 2+ weeks it's been 95 to 100 F. every day. Mine are looking a bit stressed as well. Just keep them well watered. Mine sit in shallow water trays.
