Hey everyone,

I just sowed my D. spatulata (Buried Forest, NZ) seeds, but I forgot to sterilize the media. Is that a problem?

I never sterilize my media and have only occasionally had an issue with mold. You may need to be more cautious with maintaining good air flow.

Obviously, it can be. But most likely it won't be. If you start growing moss (and you're sure it's moss) or other weeds, I'd recommend removing them with a fine point tweezers. Otherwise, just keep an eye on it.
