They will live forever if cared for properly. Depending on your conditions and the cultivar, you will have lots of plants as they send off new plants. My red dragon seems to give off 3 new plants per year. The typicals do way more. My initial 3 typical vfts are now some 30 vfts after just over 2 years and one dormancy that was skipped.
