Making a Root Cut

The roots of the flycatcher I just bought were very long. So I had to cut about 2-4 cm from the tip of the roots (only from those that are too long). Would this be a problem for the flycatcher? What consequences can it have? Thanks in advance.

In the meantime, I had to cut it because I was going to do a soil change. Immediately after slaughter, I planted it in new soil.

You should never cut the roots of a flytrap. The rhizome will produce more roots, but the plant will slow its growth. If the roots are too long for the pot, simply curl them around the bottom.

I wouldn't suggest cutting the roots unless they are already dead. It will set the plant back
