Hi everybody, just a little introduction, I guess! My name is Clayton and I live in the Orlando, FL area. I am kinda new to CPs, I got my first couple in August of last year and planted the little bog shown below, along with a bog button. Unfortunately the sundew died right away but the others are all going strong I think? Shown below are also new CPs I got a few days ago at a local nursery, I built another bigger bog to plant these in but I read that I should let it sit for about a week to let the ph balance before planting them in it, hopefully thats right! I love to learn and am quickly becoming a little obsessed with them. Any help or advice would be great!

Welcome to the forum. Nice bog! As far as letting the ph stabilize, I've never heard that. I always have planted by plants immediately after mixing up my growing mix.

I mix my bog medias in a separate pot, usually 5 gallon just so I can flush it really good before it's dumped into the bog. I also set my bogs up so they are over a foot deep and hold about 5 inches of water in the bottom before the water hits the overflow.

I've personally never heard of leaving your media sit before planting and I've been at this for a minute. I've never had a problem with mine.
