I really ought to observe my marston dragons better. They are putting out a lot flowerstalks. Unfortunately, these are self sterile. Apparently you can overcome the self incompatibility by zapping it with a car battery, apply concrete to the stigma, and other weird methods. :?

You can also cut off the flower stalk, float it in a container of distilled water and it will often generate one or more new plantlets, same as root cuttings or leaf cuttings, no car batteries or concrete required at all.
And on top of that, the resultant plants are a clone of your original named cultivar.

You could always take your turn at making people jump through hoops to get Marston's Dragons!

I'm intimidated by forkleafs, they can be huge! But they're too pretty for me to resist anyway... :lol:
