I googled it, and if I understand it correctly, that is a chart of how often people search up "carnivorous plants".

And I thought it was how the prices of CPs has increased.

Actually it's showing how often "carnivorous plants" appeared in BOOKS published over the years. Time scale is at the bottom. You can see the first peak was around 1877. Back then, people didn't have any way to search up things online

For more recent years you can see how often people search for "carnivorous plants" or other words, just go to https://trends.google.com/trends

What are the Demographics for "Venus Flytraps"?

I feel like People search up the Genus of the plant they're looking for rather than the general "Carnivorous plant" search method.
