My Y is a young Yellow Wattle
A little tree that flowers a lot-tle

This is our Queensland native Yellow Wattle Acacia flavescens,.
(Sorry about poor lighting, too early on a drizzly day.)

Few 'y' plants around these parts (need to fix that stat!). So, I needed to capitalize on the very pretty color yellow, and share this orchid that will fit in the palm of your hand: Promenaea silvana

Very nice! Never seen this species. Tried Promenaea years ago, but it was classed as a cool grower. Did not fare well in my conditions.

I think in general it gets an 'intermediate to warm' category, but the right moisture has been a bit of a challenge - still it's worth the cheery fleurs.

I’m actually sad to see this giveaway come to a close… but every new beginning comes from some other beginnings end (what song is that from?) — so here is a new Zucchini start.

I've got a good idea for Z, but it's a picture I can only take before 4 pm and I'm also finishing and sending out my doctoral dissertation today. So it's a bit of a tossup on whether I'll be done in time to not be lame for Z. Motivation to proofread efficiently?
