My Sarracenia flava var. rubricorpora - Liberty County, Florida (via Mike Wang) has awaken for spring. These are the 3 surviving divisions from the ridiculous cold blast of January 2018, growing together in a 12-inch / 30-centimeter pot. I did a headcount and found 26 flower buds (gonna have a ton of seeds in the fall). All those leaves in the pictures are phyllodia; I already cut off last year's pitchers. Next winter, I really have to divide these rhizomes.

Wow! That's a lot! Do you have any pics of what they look like when they have their pitchers? And what do you plan to do with all those rhizomes?! I need to divide up a P. gracilis and I have no idea what I'm gonna do with the divisions.

The flowers are done (all the petals have fallen off), and the plants are shifting over to pitcher production.

I sell/trade them (locally, here, Reddit, ...). Matt is already on the list for one of these.

Looks amazing man. Keep me in my mind when it comes time to divide lol, I couldn't get germination on this one. The out of control rhizome was relatable lol, had one warping its pot this year

This plant gets more impressive with each passing year. Of all the great purchases that I made from Mike Wang, this one sits at the top.

FYI - I'm thinking about doing a divide and repot this winter, should have 5-6 nice crowns for sale.

Goshdangit - I really need to get my plants big enough to fill out large pots like that. The display is just a showstopper!
