I thought I would give everyone a heads up on some of the upcoming contests. Here are a few of the topics that we will see over the next couple of months.
- Typicals - The base species of any carnivorous plant. No varieties, hybrids, or cultivars
- Hybrids - Any carnivorous plant crosses, man-made or natural
- Monochrome - Any carnivorous plant that exhibits an all white or all green variety
- Outliers - Some of the lesser seen species such as utricularia, aldrovanda, genlisea, byblis, drosophyllum, brocchinia, catopsis, philcoxia, roridula, triphyophyllum, triantha (I think some of these may not be in cultivation)
- Collections - Up to 4 photos allowed, displaying your collection

Keep these in mind and get ready for the upcoming contests.

Cant wait !

Also, can we submit old pictures of plants we previously owned but...died?

Or do the plants still have to be alive to this very day?

No, as long as you took the photo, you can use it. It doesn't even need to be your plant. Pictures from the wild or a botanical garden would be equally acceptable. Plus, a picture of a good looking plant that is now deceased might get the sympathy vote. :D
