Just barely tuck it under the soil. With part of it still able to get light. You could use chopped sphagnum moss as a thin top layer. I know a crazy guy called panman who uses a mini food processor to chop sphagnum. Crazy right?

I have tried it and it seems to work, yet the other methods seem to work better

Now I want to experiment with mailing flowerstalks. I think it should work better than leaf cuttings. Root cuttings might work even better.
