My cousin gave me some d. capensis seeds like a month ago and this is how they look:

By the way, I recently planted my seedlings in a pot with a small layer of sphagnum moss on top, but lots of the seedlings are laying on their sides. Will they straighten up over time?

1. The seedlings are probably etiolated, didn't get enough light
2. You'll have to manually straighten them out if you want them to be straight
3. they will be fine, they will survive, without straightening

I just was too lazy to plant them. I was using water to germinate them.

Its easier to plant them. Just sprinkle them on soil.

When mine germinated I put them in soil right away, then they sprouted straight.

I'm assuming the plants will start growing upright once the seedlings get rooted in well.
