I'm trying propagating my cape sundew and rotundifolia via leaf/flower cuttings. Is there anything else I should do for them, or should I put them near a bright windowsill?

I have found that, for sundews, the cuttings work best with new leaves that are actively growing. If I take an older leaf it seems to rot before it strikes. Flytraps are different. As long as I get a bit of the white rhizome I have good luck.

Water works just fine you will get a lot of tiny plants. I prefer 1 or 2 larger plants so I pot my cutting upright. Because less area is perfect for a new plants you get less. With just one new plant draining the old leaf it grows much much faster.

flower stalks work too

I have had best luck placing the plants on wet sphagnum in a sealed container. Leave in a windowsill for a month and you should have baby plantlets! Water works for some but I got way more on wet soil, try to pull as much of a leaf as possible. I had luck with many ZA wintergrowers this way too.
