Root systems on nepenthes are typically very underdeveloped. I usually use a 6" or 8" round net pot. Not sure what the depth is, but probably around 6". Depends of course on the size of the plant.

No, the root systems are minimal. I think they absorb most of their water from the humidity air through their leaves.
