Is this a common phenomena? I guess Sarracenia like to grow weird sometimes. They are still growing in the same condition. Over 6 hours of sun and lots of water

It's a reasonably common occurrence on some plants, the ala gets bigger and the traps smaller as the season advances till they just produce ensiform phyllodia. Can be comical on occasion.

I have a couple plants that do this, for me they tend to send them up near the end of the growing season for me.
