I posted a while ago asking for help identifying a sundew that had started growing with my flytraps, at the time it was too small to tell what it was. Now it’s grown a little bit I wondered if anyone knows what it is? Maybe it’s still too small?

Also two of the leaves (if that’s the correct word) have started curling upwards, is this a bad sign?

Thanks for any hints.

It's probably either a Spatulata or Capillaris. The curling just means it caught a bug and is currently digesting it.

I'd lean a touch more to spatulata. The paddle looks to be a little more elongated than a capi, but it's also still pretty small.
Either way, it's a cute little bugger.

Thanks for the replies.

It seems like we are getting closer to an identification,

I'll post again when there's a bit more size.

I'm going to guess Spatulata myself. Tokaiensis is more widely available and often misidentified but it usually brings out a different color in the sun where you'd keep the flytraps, if it is unobstructed. I like the color on that one though. Being in Australia, that one is totally up in the air. Hopefully an expert pops up. I'm curious though, do you feed the plant? Some Burmannii trigger hairs will come out a different color based on the amount it's fed. It also can have an impact on color sometimes.

No I’ve not tried to feed it. I figured as it’s outside it should get what it needs without my help.

It’s actually grown a bit this past week.

Thanks for the reply 👍🏻 I’ll update when it gets a bit bigger! Up until this week it had lots of dew but now most of it has gone? I’m hoping it’s just because it’s been really windy lately? Is that possible? It’s kept underneath a balcony so has pretty good protection from the weather but the last few days it’s been really windy and it would have felt a bit of the sideways rain!
